Relationships Are Here

We’ve been working hard on this update and are really happy to finally share it.  Relationships are now part of Talesmyth, giving you a whole new way to connect the people, places, and things in your world.

Relationships

You can now link characters, locations, and entities together however you want. Family trees, political alliances, rivalries, hierarchies, object ownership, and anything else you can think of.

You can create relationships right on your Boards or through the entity editor. Visual arrows/lines show how everything ties together, and you can choose one-way or two-way connections. It’s flexible and designed to fit whatever type of world you’re building.

Highlights:

  • Add relationships directly from Boards or the editor

  • Link anything to anything: people, places, items, ideas, and any other story elements you have

  • One-way or two-way connections with visual lines and arrows

  • Built-in types like Personal, Spatial, Ownership, Hierarchical, and Professional

  • And you can build your own custom types

This is just the beginning. We’ll keep improving the system and adding more options in future updates.

Board Improvements

We’ve made the Boards smoother to work with and easier to customize:

  • Portrait or landscape canvas layout

  • Better color controls with transparency support

  • Smoother editing for shapes, drawings, and entity placement

  • Exporting and printing options added

Entity Editor

The entity editor has been completely redesigned. It’s faster, cleaner, and organized around tabs:

  • Details – Main entity info

  • Relationships – Manage connections directly

  • Images – Upload portraits or location visuals

World Import and Export

We’ve upgraded world import/export so you can handle larger projects with images included. It’s easier to back up or share your creations.

Keep Building

We love seeing what people make with Talesmyth. If you run into bugs or have feedback, please reach out as it really helps us shape the next update.

Happy worldbuilding!
